14 Reasons you NEED Marquee Letters at your Wedding

Why you NEED marquee letters at your wedding

Woah, when did she get so bossy? I know, this is my ‘Feature Friday’ where I give you unique ideas on how to use vintage items in your wedding. But I just really, really like marquee letters- so I think you NEED them. And after this inspiration… I think you will see why. Marquee letters used to be reserved for carnival parties and grand openings. Slowly they started making their way into alternative weddings (I loved them then, guys- it’s an obsession) and now? They’re in even the most glamorous weddings. While I still love the red marquee letters more than you know, you can get your hands on white or vintage metal as well (oh, and I stock them all- like I said, obsessed). I’m also excited to have some script marquee signs on order for this season (think a script LOVE, it’s good- right?).

So here’s my top 14 uses for them/ reasons to love them just as much as me. Let’s start with your favourite first, shall we?

Why you NEED marquee letters at your wedding

1. Your initials. I rent out initials more than anything else- and there’s a reason… they’re so cute! Anything with an ampersand is cute, really. {Karolina Turek Photography | Venue: Cecil Green}

2.  Like this Mr & Mrs… the ampersand makes it adorable! What better way to announce your new title?

3. Another ampersand, looking adorable! This ‘You & Me’ combo is popular as well (can’t you see why?).

4. Last ampersand picture… I promise. But there’s a reason they’re so popular! One of the reasons Marquee letters are SO perfect for weddings is that they take amazing photos! I would have this photo on my wall in a heartbeat.

5. Moving away from the ampersands… to a moustache! We have a moustache and an anchor (and we’re ordering a bunch more symbols for this season!)… both of which make the PERFECT addition to a men’s area at your wedding. Think, somewhere with manly decor for the men to hang out away from the lace and roses (what groom wouldn’t want this?).

6. Back to letters, we love how this couple displayed the bride’s new last name above the party-so fun! Again- marquee letters make for AWESOME photos.

7. Our second most popular rental? The word LOVE. Isn’t it sweet with the O on an angle?  {Karolina Turek Photography | Venue: Cecil Green}

8. And our third most popular is this BAR in red! What a fun addition to your wedding (or any party, really!). This photo is from our recent feature on Green Wedding Shoes (so exciting!) if you’d like to hop over there and see the whole shoot.  {The Apartment Photography | As featured on: Green Wedding Shoes}

9.  Since we’re labelling ‘stations’ at events… this is one of my favourite set-ups I’ve done with the letters. Mostly because I love s’mores (who doesn’t) and the view of this wedding was incredible!
