Whew! Christmas has come and gone- the holidays always fly! Now it’s time to turn our attention to NYE then a fresh start for 2015. I’m not sure what you have planned for NYE- I certainly don’t have anything this glamouros planned…. but it doesn’t stop me from dreaming. Today I’ve got not one but two inspiration boards for you to get your creative juices flowing for a Black & Gold NYE (with a vintage touch of course). Also… it helps if you listen to Katy Perry while you’re reading this (your welcome).
From Left to right, top to bottom:
1. I’m loving those gold glittery pennants from this intimate NYE Wedding. They’re paired with a sequin table cloth if you were wondering… perfection! But even if you’re not going all out (like at a wedding) these pennants would be a cute addition to your NYE!
2. Fizz, Pop, Clink, Sparkle! All words that describe the perfect NYE. I’m loving these free printable napkin wraps Pommel Lane designed for Lemon Thistle!
3. Speaking of Pop, Fizz, Clink! Look at how cute the balloons on this vintage bar cart are! Also- there’s no better time to whip out the ‘Time to Drink Champagne and Dance on the Table’ sign. Because, really!
4. That pretty gold glittery goodness is the dress I wish I’d be wearing to my imaginary NYE Party!
5. The silver, gold and black is a super cute vase of noise blowers (you know- from kids birthday parties?) from this NYE Wedding! The more time I spent on Pinterest looking for inspiration… the more I started dreaming of a NYE wedding… anyone want to let me decorate for them!?
5. We love a good vintage mirror! And we adore how this one is being used as a bar menu! What a perfect way to add some shine to your bar.
6. Last but not least VINTAGE CLOCKS! I don’t know that I need to say more on this one, but I will. Vintage clocks are awesome all the time, friends. But on New Years? They’re perfection.
Yeah, I couldn’t help but make two inspiration boards after I saw those AMAZING invitations. But I’ll get there.
1. This is a close up of the other dress I wish I’d be wearing for NYE. Black and gold baby. And it’s a little more affordable for the practical side of my imaginary self.
2. This Happy New Year garland is super quick and easy to DIY. It’s such a simple idea but adds some flair to any NYE gathering.
3. Okay, okay. NOW the fabulous invitations. I know that these weren’t meant for NYE- but a vintage themed black and gold party deserves to hit the NYE inspiration list. Plus they’re free printables, so I’d be remiss to keep them to myself. I’d love to attend a party that promises I ‘get snockered and stuffed until the cops raid the place’. But maybe that’s just me.
4. Confetti! How have I gotten to the bottom of a second NYE post without a speck of confetti? It kills me! If I were having a party, there’d be confetti all over the place. I love the idea of giving guests little packets to toss.
5. Last but certainly not least- I love this DIY Balloon Memory Wall from The Little Umbrella. Each ballon is filled with CONFETTI and a memory from the year. Every hour you pop one and reminisce… how fun!
You’d think I’d stop talking now… but I just can’t help myself! There is so much vintage NYE goodness on the web I had to share a bit more with you. For a laugh check out these amusing vintage NYE Photos. To dress your tech to mach your confetti loving spirit- grab this free desktop and iphone background. And last but not least, you should probably learn the Charleston. Alright, now you can go and plan your own black and gold party- I think you’re set!
