I’m so excited about today’s post! Today we’re sharing these gorgeous DIY Neon Edged Save the Dates with you. The best part? We’re including the customizable free printable for you- so you can actually use them! These save the dates are clean, simple, and striking with a pop of neon that’s too much fun.
Here’s what you’ll need to create your own Save the Dates:
- Free printable template, edited to include your information
- 100lb (or higher) cardstock
- Paper cutter
- Neon Highlighter
Get started by editing our template to include your information. The template is for Word- so it’s crazy easy to edit. Just download, open, and change out the names, date, and city for your wedding details. The font we used is Brandon Grotesque, if you don’t have this one a good alternative is Century Gothic which comes standard on most machines. Save your edited document as a PDF (File/Save As) and send to the printers. Have them printed double sided (page two is the patterned backing) on heavy weight (minimum 100lb) card stock. They print two invites to one page.
Once you have your save the dates printed, you can cut them out. A paper cutter will work best to give you straight lines. Edging the paper makes uneven lines more noticeable, so invest in a paper cutter (you can get some for around $20) instead of trying scissors. When you’re done cutting them out, take a stack and run your neon highlighter over the edges of the papers until they’re as bright as you like. Take care not to colour the front or back of the pages.
That’s all there is to these! Tie them up with some coordinating bakers twine and pop them in envelopes to send to guests. If you’re ambitious, you could even edge your envelopes to match! They’re so much fun with the pop of colour. We’d love to see if you do use the template! Just tag us on social media or shoot us an email (you’ll make our day!). Please keep in mind these printables are for personal use only and cannot be redistributed or sold- but you’re golden and already knew that.
